West Coast Crab with Garlic Butter, Curry Bread, and Townsite Brewing 7800 Saison Strong Beer Now Serving

For Curry Bread:
1.5 cup warm water
3 cups white bread flour
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
2 teaspoons instant yeast
1 dash cumin
1 dash turmeric
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C)
Mix yeast and sugar into water
Make a well in flour and pour in water/yeast/sugar mixture
Add salt, spices, and oil
Mix lightly until combined
Kneed until dough is mixed and bouncy
Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in warm place for approximately 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk
Kneed dough and ball with hands into round loaf shape
Cover and let rise 30-40 minutes
Bake 14-20 minutes depending on size, or until golden brown
Serve immediately

For Garlic Butter:
½ cup Butter
2 cloves garlic

Melt butter over low heat
Add garlic
Raise temperature slightly until butter gently bubbles
Reduce heat and let simmer while crab cooks

For Crab:
2 Fresh Live Crab

Boil a large pot of water
While the water is boiling prepare the crab
Laying the crab on its back chop in half with a clever
Remove innards and superfluous chunks of shell
Throw crab into boiling water and let cook for 3-5 minutes
Remove from boiling water and let drip

Serve crab hot with fresh bread, garlic butter, and a glass of 7800 Saison Strong Beer and don’t forget the crab crackers!
